Getting Follie
Which devices does Follie™ run on?
iPhone and iPad from the App Store, Android from Google Play, and any modern browser at app.heyfollie.com. One account works on all of them.
Is it free?
Follie is free to download, with a 7-day trial on iPhone and Android. After the trial the reference library, calculators, emergency protocols, and plan generator need a subscription or a one-time purchase. Searching the library in chat stays included.
What happens after the 7-day trial?
The subscription you chose starts, unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancel from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; access continues to the end of the trial.
What does it cost in the app?
$7.99 a month, $49.99 a year, or $99.99 once for life, in US dollars. Store prices may differ by country.
What does the $95 web purchase include?
The reference library, calculators, emergency protocols, and plan generator, for life, in the browser and in the app. It is sold only to US billing addresses. Follie Network is a separate monthly add-on.
I bought Follie before it became free to download. Do I have to subscribe?
No. You keep full access on both platforms. If the app asks you to subscribe, press Restore purchases on that screen; if that does not clear it, write to follie@heyattuned.com.
How do I cancel?
From your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Follie cannot cancel a store subscription for you. Access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
Do I need an account?
Not on the phone. Everything works without signing in. Sign in with Google or Apple when you want your plans, notebook, and Academy progress to carry across devices or to use Follie in the browser.
Using it
Does Follie work without a connection?
On the phone, yes: the library, calculators, protocols, and the plan engine run on the device. Follie Network needs a connection. In the browser the plan is built on Follie’s server and the patient details are not kept.
Does my work sync between devices?
Sign in with the same Google or Apple account and your saved plans, notebook, and Academy progress carry across the phone and the browser.
How is a plan made?
You enter the patient (every field optional) and pick the procedure. A rule-based engine, not an AI, builds the plan from the procedure library, the comorbidity guides, and the drug database, with weight-based doses and the references each section draws on. The plan says which defaults it used for anything you left blank.
Is the plan something I can follow?
No. Every plan opens with the same line: these are clinical considerations for review, not orders. Follie is for informational purposes only and is not intended for direct patient care decisions. Clinical judgment, current guidelines and your institution’s protocols govern.
Whose standards does the content follow?
United States medical standards. Content may not reflect practice in other countries.
Where does the content come from?
Standard anesthesia textbooks, published guidelines, and drug labels. The references are listed on the page that uses them, and every Academy question carries its sources.
Is there AI in Follie?
Only in Follie Network, a separate opt-in add-on that is off until you turn it on. Its answers are drawn from Follie’s own library, with citations that open the page they came from, and it says so when the library does not cover something. Everything else in Follie is rule-based and runs on your device.
What languages are the patient phrases in?
Ten, with a written pronunciation guide for each phrase and audio where your device has that language’s voice installed. They are a communication aid, not a substitute for a qualified medical interpreter, especially for consent.
I found a mistake. Where do I report it?
Every Academy card and every Network answer has a report link. For anything else, write to follie@heyattuned.com. Corrections are answered by the person who built Follie.
Follie Academy
What is Follie Academy?
Board-style preparation inside Follie: five exam-aligned tracks (CAA and CRNA certification and recertification, and anesthesiology residency BASIC), 1,316 cited questions, a fixed timed Exam 1 per track, Practicum across the whole bank, spaced-repetition Recitations, a question of the day, and 53 study guides.
Is it extra?
Not during the beta. It is included for everyone now and may be offered as its own subscription later.
Is it affiliated with a certification board?
No. Follie Academy is an independent study aid, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any certification board, credentialing organization, or examination provider. The track weightings are Follie’s own estimates of each exam’s published domain emphasis, and no exam’s questions or content outline is reproduced.
Which track should an SAA or SRNA use?
SAAs preparing for the certifying exam use the CAA certification track; SRNAs use the CRNA certification track. Residents use the BASIC track.
Privacy and data
Is patient information stored?
Plans you save stay in your account. Patient details entered in the browser are not retained on the server. When you share notes or cards with a colleague, anything that looks like patient information is removed first. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
How do I delete my account?
From the app, or from the delete your account page. Deleting removes your account and the data stored with it.
Updates
How often is Follie updated?
Most weeks. Content and feature updates arrive in the app without a store update, and each one is announced in the app’s inbox. The What’s new page lists every release.
Can I suggest something?
Yes. Write to follie@heyattuned.com. Suggestions are read and answered by the person who built Follie.
